Hema diverts the attention of Raghav and Uma, and gestures Vidya to leave. Raghav and Uma visit Harish and they ask Hema to bring Shalu. However, they are disappointed seeing Shalu with her loud make-up. Cheenu too signals to them that she is not the girl he had seen for Sagar. Shalu makes a fool of herself in front of them. When Shalu is asked to give tea for Uma, Shalu accidentally spills it on Uma's sari. Uma heads to the kitchen but Vidya who's hiding there manages to escape. Later, she sees the red shawl that she had lost at the river bank hung on someone's balcony and is surprised to see Sagar (Sharad Malhotra). Sagar tosses it at her. On the other hand, Raghav is leaving with Uma when he tells her that he wants to see Sagar settle with a nice girl so that he will not remain in Sindoora's clutches. Just then, they see Vidya helping children with their lines in a mythological drama. However, when she sees them, she escapes. Uma hears the children call out Vidya's name and she recalls it scribbled in the list of eligible girls given by the priest. Raghav and Uma come to Harish's house and inform Kaushalya that they want Vidya's hand in marriage for their son Sagar.
