The story of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo begins with Laali, a teenage girl from a poor village in Bihar, who is bought by wealthy Zamindar Loha Singh. Laali is supposedly brought to her husband's house to fulfill a ceremony, but she is being sold for cash. Shekhar's wife Siddeshwari is disrespected during Loha Singh's attempt to use Laali to have a grandson. Laali assumes responsibility for Shekhar's and her mother-in-law's errors, causing a breach between them.
